<h3>Overview</h3><p>Known as the oldest national park in Sarawak, Bako National Park is home to variety of Borneo's flora and fauna. It is spread across 16km of land offering sanctuary to 7 major ecosystem including beach vegetation, cliff vegetation, mangrove, peat swamp forests, mixed dipterocarp forests, heath forests and grasslands.</p><p>Long tailed macaques, silver leaf monkeys and the long-nosed, potbellied proboscis monkey are just some of the wildlifes that you can commonly spot in this area. Others including flying lemur, mouse deer, bearded pigs, bats, tarsiers, slow loris and palm civet cats can also be seen roaming freely within the forest. The diversity of Bako National Park will always spark your excitement and is a haven to naturalists and adventurers.</p>

<h4>Hotel Pick Up</h4><p><strong>Estimated pick up time: 8am to 8.30am</strong></p><p>It’s time to start your Sarawak nature exploration! You will be picked up from your hotel in Kuching and transferred to Bako National Park</p><p><br></p><h4>Boat Transfer</h4><p>After a 45-minute drive full of scenic roadside view, you will arrive at the jetty where you will hop on a 30-minute boat ride to reach Bako National Park.</p><p><br></p><h4>Bako National Park HQ</h4><p>Finally, you have reached Bako National Park. Proceed for registration and go to the park’s information centre to get all the details that you need before the trek.</p><p><br></p><h4>Mangrove Forest Trekking</h4><p>Trek along the mangrove forest trails and make sure to keep your eyes open to spot some of Borneo’s wildlife such as Proboscis Monkeys, Bearded pigs, silver leaf monkeys and other Borneo primates.</p><p><br></p><h4>Lunch</h4><p>Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.</p><p><br></p><h4>Return Boat Transfer</h4><p>Briefly explore more of the park before returning to the jetty where you will be transferred back to the mainland.</p><p><br></p><h4>Hotel Drop Off</h4><p>After arriving at the jetty, you will be transferred back to the hotel</p><p><strong>Estimated drop off time: 3pm to 3.30pm</strong></p><p><br></p><h4>End of Tour</h4><p>*Departure time is approximate and varies from different operators.
